POSITION:

Summer Pathways Program DANCE SUPERVISOR

SUPERVISE A SUMMER PROGRAM CONSISTING OF TEACHERS AND up to FIFTY STUDENTS.

1 POSITION AVAILABLE THROUGH NYCPS's ARTS OFFICE.

SUPERVISOR: JOANNA BERENSON (BRONX BOROUGH ARTS DIRECTOR)

LOCATION:

Various Locations throughout New York City

ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS:

• New York State Education Department certified supervisor (SBL) and appointed Education Administrator, or

• New York State Education Department certified supervisor (SBL or SDL) and appointed building administrator, or assistant principal

SELECTION CRITERIA:

• At least one (1) year of satisfactory rating as a school principal or assistant principal

• Strong attendance record

• Experience working in/facilitating teacher teams

• Experience engaging in collaborative inquiry

• Experience leading teacher teams

DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Attendance is required every day at the summer learning program site

• Communication with the Arts Office via email, phone, and in-person, as necessary

• Instructional support for the dance teachers in the program

• Oversee all logistical needs of the summer program.

• Communicate with parents, as needed.

• Manage arrival and dismissal.

WORK SCHEDULE:

• UP TO 75 HOURS, BUT NOT LIMITED TO THE APPROXIMATE NUMBER OF HOURS LISTED. ADDITIONAL HOURS GRANTED UPON THE APPROVAL OF THE HIRING MANAGER.
• JULY 15- AUGUST 2, MONDAY- THURSDAY 8:15-1:00

Hours up to, but not limited to the approximate number of hours listed. Additional hours may be granted upon the approval of the hiring manager.

SALARY:

Per Session rates as per the relevant union/organization of the advertised title (Collective Bargaining Agreement). Contingent upon funding availability and programmatic approval.
