Various locations - including 4360 Broadway, Manhattan; 49 Flatbush Ave. Ext., Brooklyn; LaGuardia HS, Julia Richman Educational Complex, and Lincoln Center Campus
ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS:
Currently employed in the NYC Department of Education as a School Aide.
SELECTION CRITERIA:
Satisfactory rating
Satisfactory record of attendance and punctuality
Demonstrated ability to work with NYCDOE/NYCPS faculty and staff, teaching artists, students and parents.
Experience and familiarity with MetroCard distribution, student attendance procedures, unpacking and inventory of program supplies, student transportation and bussing procedures, and lunchroom and dismissal procedures
Other criteria that the Arts Office may require in accordance with the DC 37 Collective Bargaining Agreement
Note: Applicants for per session employment who are not employed in the Department of Education's regular school program or adult education program shall be considered for selection only if no qualified day employee is available
DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
Assist with supply inventory, packing, unpacking, distribution and classroom set up for auditions, camp
Assist with collection and filing of student forms for auditions and camp.
Follow up with families on missing student forms, as needed
Assist with student attendance check in at auditions, camp, supply distribution and follow up weekend, as needed
Assist with student breakfast and lunch
Assist with bus attendance, chaperoning and transporting, as needed
Work under the supervision of the site supervisors, as governed by the Director of Arts Education Accountability and Support of the Arts Office
Distribute supplies and instructional materials to studios, as needed
Copy administrative and instructional materials, as required
Assist administrators, instructors, guidance personnel and/or other program staff, as required
Assist with all program-related clerical tasks
Other duties and responsibilities that the Office of Arts and Special Projects may require in accordance with the DC 37 Collective Bargaining Agreement.
WORK SCHEDULE:
July: some additional audition planning, application review, inquiries, procurement, up to but not limited to approximately 20 hours
August 5 - 16, 2024 (Monday
Friday, 7:00 am
3:00 pm, up to but not limited to approximately 7 hours per day for 10 days of camp
Fall 2024 (Saturday and Sunday, 8:00 am
Extended days and additional evening and weekend hours may be scheduled leading up to, during and following the program, including but not limited to inventory, supply distribution, clerical tasks and field trips.
Up to approximately 150 hours per position. Additional hours granted upon the approval of the hiring manager.
Note: As program is subject to funding, all dates, times, and hours to be confirmed
Hours up to, but not limited to the approximate number of hours listed. Additional hours may be granted upon the approval of the hiring manager.
SALARY:
Extra Hours rates as per the relevant union/organization of the advertised title (Collective Bargaining Agreement). Contingent upon funding availability and programmatic approval.
