POSITION:

Transfer Schools SkillsUSA Implementation Leads

Office of Citywide Transfer High Schools

Cohort participants will receive training in SkillsUSA programming, implementation, and assessment practices.

LOCATION:

Remote professional learning sessions via Microsoft Teams

ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS:

New York City licensed and appointed staff member, who is currently assigned to a Transfer School, and has been assigned as Implementation Lead for SkillsUSA

SELECTION CRITERIA:

• Applicants must currently be employed by a NYCPS Transfer School, under the supervision of Superintendent John Sullivan

• Applicant must be appointed by school principal to serve as implementation lead for SkillsUSA

• Satisfactory performance for the past two years.

• No substantiated allegations of misconduct stemming from an OEO, OSI or SCI investigation or any misconduct that has led to the filing of disciplinary charges while covered by Advance (does not preclude teachers with less than three years of service).

• Seniority will be considered for selection.

DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

Under the direction of the District Superintendent team, the Teacher will:

• Attend Microsoft Teams training sessions, and open office hours if necessary

• Other duties and responsibilities, as required by the program in accordance with the UFT Collective Bargaining Agreement.

WORK SCHEDULE:

Up to 2 hours to be completed after regularly scheduled workdays on Zoom.

Hours up to, but not limited to the approximate number of hours listed. Additional hours may be granted upon the approval of the hiring manager.

SALARY:

Per Session rates as per the relevant union/organization of the advertised title (Collective Bargaining Agreement). Contingent upon funding availability and programmatic approval.
