Primary Function: This position is responsible for ensuring that the administrative operations of the department are efficient, orderly, and focused on providing service to our customers and vendors.

Reports To: Director of Compensatory Programs Salary Schedule: Salary will be determined based on level of certification and allowable experience.

Work Days: 229 Days Requirements: Education Level: Master's Degree from an accredited college or university with specialization in the area of education.

Eligible for an Educational Leadership Certificate Passing GAPSC approved Leadership Certification test required Preferred: Education Specialist or Doctorate degree Experience, Skill, and Certification: Eligibility for Educational Leadership Certificate.

Must have clear-renewable or obtain non-renewable certification prior to being employed. If obtaining a non- renewable certification, it must be completed within 3 years. At least five (5) years of successful classroom teaching Knowledge of Microsoft Office suite, data analysis techniques, budgeting, and purchasing.

Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well independently and with others. Demonstrated ability to adapt to changes in priorities and work assignments. Ability to independently plan, execute, and monitor completion of tasks and projects according to established timelines with minimal supervision.

Preferred: Three years in a leadership role Knowledge of learning processes, research based best practices, evidence-based research, curriculum implementation, assessment, and core content academic strategies. Demonstrated ability to work well with others, collaborate to solve problems, and work with high performing teams. Essential Duties:

Designs, implements, and monitors Title I programs and other Compensatory Programs under the direction of the Director. Oversees federal programs budget development, consolidated application, and fiscal reports in accordance with State, Federal, and District regulations. Provides assistance to schools in developing School wide/Targeted Assistance (TA) plans based on Title I, Part A of Elementary and Secondary Education Act of 1965 (ESEA) and state guidelines.

Assists public, charter, and private schools in developing Title I, School Improvement, and Title IV budgets to support School wide/TA plans and monitors expenditures throughout the year. Guide principals and site staff in the implementation and administration of federal programs to ensure their effectiveness and provides fHtakas appropriate. Provides professional development to both public, charter, and private schools, which support program guidelines and instruction.

Prepares all necessary reports, files, and forms to ensure compliance with federal and state guidelines. Keeps abreast of effective instructional practices through research via the internet, professional literature, and conferences. Collects and analyzes data related to the effectiveness of instructional initiatives and evaluates program services.

Provides assistance to public and charter schools identified for school improvement. Assists administrators, faculty, staff, and the community with the implementation of effective family engagement activities based on ESEA and state guidelines. Collaborates with Central Office staff, school-based personnel, Georgia State Department of Education (GaDOE) staff, auditors, and community members to provide Title I services.

Tracks and analyzes student data and assessments required for local/state accountability standards for Compensatory Program. Conducts classroom observations to determine effectiveness of program implementation and recommending necessary program revisions. Consults with charter and private school officials annually to disseminate information about the federal educational programs available in the district and how charter and private schools qualify to participate in them.

Develops plans for providing tutors and educational materials to participating private schools, institutions and homeless shelters to ensure that at-risk children receive equitable services. Oversees the school improvement plan budget and its alignment with the school improvement plans to ensure successful implementation. Ensures that school improvement plans are implemented and followed, and that annual budgets are aligned to support the plans.

Participates in classroom walk-through sessions and professional conversations with paraprofessional, teachers, family engagement staff and academic coaches to promote continued improvement. Monitor current, accurate inventory of all resources in all Federal Programs at all sites and, maintain at private schools. Provides orientation and support to new Title I staff at public, private, and charter schools.

Develops and nurtures close working relationships with community and state agencies and area businesses, industries, and non-profit organizations, in order to provide support consistent with family engagement needs. Attends program events and functions. Participates in administrative meetings, school leadership team meetings, data team meetings, and other meetings when required.

Identifies, organizes, and facilitates appropriate orientation and training activities related to the staff needs of the Family Engagement Facilitators, Title I classroom teachers and tutors. Assists in recruitment, screening and selection of Family Engagement Facilitators and Title I private school tutors. Performs other approved federal grant duties as necessary for the effectiveness of the organization.
