Answer incoming phone calls to the Edward Jones Home Office from internal and external callers. Operators must have a general understanding of the location and responsibilities of each Home Office department. Operators also:
1.Assist with international calling.
2.Act as gatekeepers by identifying and terminating sales/solicitation calls.
3.Identify discrepancies in the Edward Jones Directory and request changes.
4.Record calls in Service Center for analysis, training and potential contact reduction information.
5.Educate branch callers of firm directory resources and influence their use of the resources available to them
A High School diploma is required. Basic knowledge of telephony and switchboard operations is preferred.
One to two years as a switchboard operator is preferred. One to two years of customer service experience is preferred.
Excellent verbal communication skills are required. Knowledge of concepts, principles and practices of excellent customer service is required.
