Switchboard Operator

Pay Range:

The base pay range for this position is

$18.18-$32.73 Hourly

however, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.

POSITION OVERVIEW:

Receive and accurately route phone calls through the organization's telephone system in a timely, professional, and friendly manner. Must be able to handle a high volume of calls while maintaining careful attention to detail and accuracy. Must be reliable as this is a high-performance role.

PRIMARY DUTIES:

• Answer incoming calls for Pullman Regional Hospital

• Efficiently connect callers to the appropriate extension

• Provide exceptional customer service

• Assist with clerical tasks between calls (scanning documents into our electronic medical record, filing, etc.)

• Clerical assignments include, but not limited to working assigned work queues on daily basis

• Provided copies of current insurance data to applicable follow-up analysts

• Assist with other assignments requested by Front Office team leader

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:

• Prior experience with a switchboard or multi-line phone service preferred.

REQUIREMENTS:

• High School Diploma or equivalent

• Exceptional communication skills to interact with patients and colleagues

• Excellent organizational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently

• Meticulous attention to detail to ensure accuracy

License/Registration: None required.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

Sitting: 90%.

Standing/Walking: 10%.

Occasional lifting/carrying of supplies and equipment weighing up to 30 pounds.
