Swing Shift Welder

Job Summary: Welding metal aluminum boxes for industrial electrical control panels. Some structural welding building frames for the E-houses. Will have pass weld test. Tig and Mig weld test on 12, 14 and 16 gauge, also welds on heavy tubing that is 3/8" and 1/4" wall to test fitter skills.

Pay Rate: $19.00/hr to $28.00/hr DOE plus $3.50/hr shift differential

Job Location: West Jordan

Shift: 4:00pm-3:00am, Monday-Thursday

Responsibilities: Applicants could be required to do any of the following:

• Reading and understanding blueprints prior to starting a project

• Sourcing the materials to be used in the project

• Measuring and cutting materials to specifications

• Welding materials using the correct materials to join the metals together

• Checking finished work to make sure that it falls within the tolerances marked on the blueprints

Qualifications:

• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written

• Ability to read blueprints

• Knowledge of metallurgy

• Knowledge of various welding techniques, including TIG, MIG, arc, and oxy-fuel welding

• Knowledge of manual and mechanical welding techniques
