Job Description:

THIS IS A FULLY ON-SITE ROLE LOCATED IN SPOKANE, WA. THIS IS A SWING SHIFT POSITION WITH A STANDARD SCHEDULE OF 3:30PM-2:00AM.

POSITION SUMMARY

The Materials/Fab Receiving Lead is responsible for all processes relating to Production Readiness, including receiving functions, material storage, nonconforming items, job kitting and distribution. Reporting to the Production Readiness Leader, the Fab Receiving Lead ensures cost-effective, efficient, accurate and safe distribution, receipt and storage of materials.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Receives, and performs kitting operations per standard work plans.

  • Supervises and coordinates activities of team engaged in kitting, receiving and staging of materials.

  • Ensures proper parts are delivered to appropriate area on schedule.

  • Communicates any shortages or discrepancies that may affect production schedule.

  • Establishes or adjusts work schedules of Fab Receiving team members to meet production and project schedules.

  • Trains new team members in job functions.

  • Assists in development, improvement, and implementation of operating procedures.

  • Investigates and corrects inventory discrepancies.

  • Ensures data entry and documentation transactions are completed accurately and in accordance with allocated time periods established by management.

  • Monitors team for adherence to process and investigates errors.

  • Resolves emergent expedited, past due, or shortage of goods issues with appropriate individuals.

  • Promotes Safety, continual improvement and shift collaboration within the Fab Receiving group.

  • Monitors and manages Kanban levels, as directed.

  • Generates reports, as required.

  • Contributes to building a positive team spirit; builds morale and team commitments to achieve goals and objectives; leads by example; inspires and motivates others to succeed.

  • Performs other tasks and duties as assigned

Education

  • High school diploma or equivalent.

Experience and Skills

  • General computer experience; Microsoft Office experience preferred.

  • Experience with ERP systems.

  • Ability to present written information in a clear and legible fashion.

  • Ability to follow work instructions and procedures to complete tasks.

  • Ability to read and understand basic blueprints and/or schematics.

  • Ability to operate hand and fork trucks.

  • Ability to operate cranes, saws and pneumatic staple guns.

Physical Requirements

To successfully perform the essential functions of this job, an individual must be willing and able to

  • have full range of body movement: head, neck, shoulders; lift arms overhead; work overhead; good dexterity and range of movement in fingers and hands.
  • sit at a desk or computer for extended periods of time.
  • stand on feet for at least three hours.
  • repeatedly lift up to 50 pounds.
  • dial, hear and respond to telephone calls.

Compensation: $23-26 hourly
