Job Title: Swim Coach

Branch: Upper Main Line YMCA

Pay Class: Full Time/Exempt

Shifts/Availability: Varies

Starting Pay Rate: $45,000 - $47,500

Position Purpose: The Upper Main Line YMCA is looking for an experienced Swim Coach to deliver a high quality, safe and competitive swim team program for all swimming levels.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide leadership for Swim Team program, activities, practices and swim meets as assigned by the Associate Head Swim Coach

  • Deliver and instruct practices and team activities as per the swim team goals

  • Assist in recruitment and retention of program participants

  • Lead specialty clinics and practices as necessary including the Summer Team (Pups)

  • Organize and manage swimmers at swim meets

  • Actively promote YMCA Character Development and Core Values

  • Perform all other duties as assigned by supervisor

Qualifications:

  • Competitive swimming experience for a minimum of 4-6 years required

  • College degree preferred, high school diploma required

  • Must have at least 3 years of coaching experience with swimmers of all ages

  • Any additional certifications that are required by the YMCA and/or USA Swimming required

  • Ability to demonstrate all strokes

  • Must be at least 18 years of age
