General Summary:

The University of North Georgia is seeking swim assistants for our swim program. Individuals will assist the swim director in teaching multiple skill levels from ages three and up.

Assistants will also demonstrate and teach various safety techniques. Assistants will employ a variety of techniques and creative play games to acclimate younger children to the water experience.

REPORTS TO:Dual Enrollment Coordinator SALARY RANGE:Low $30's, depending on education and qualifications DEADLINE:Submit information by November 14, 2018 for immediate consideration EFFECTIVE:December 1, 2018 RESPONSIBILITIES: The Dual Enrollment Admissions Assistant is responsible for performing administrative duties for the Dual Enrollment program in the admissions area at Lanier Technical College. MAJOR DUTIES: * Provides information to potential students and their parents on Dual Enrollment program offerings at the college to ensure they have adequate information to make informed decisions; * Communicates with high school counselors regarding the Dual Enrollment program; * Tracks data for Dual Enrollment and articulated credit enrollees and graduates for completion/graduation from our College; * Assists appropriate personnel at high schools in service delivery area regarding the registration and withdrawal of students in Dual Enrollment program; * Coordinates placement testing and admissions processes for Dual Enrollment students; * Coordinates with college personnel regarding placement testing, admissions, and financial aid to assure seamless enrollment of Dual Enrollment students to college; * Keeps abreast of admissions regulations, policies and procedures; * Maintains inventory of Dual Enrollment admissions materials; * Processes new Dual Enrollment student applications and related information and prepares student files; * Provides administrative assistance to the Dual Enrollment Coordinator * Assists with graduation and registration activities. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: * High school diploma or equivalent AND three (3) years of work-related experience, OR an Associate's Degree in Business Administrative Technology or closely related field from a regionally accredited college or university AND one (1) year of work-related experience. TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES: * Demonstrated skill in the operation of computers and job related software programs; * Effective skill and ability to perform complex and varied duties in an efficient and confidential manner; * Skill in managing multiple priorities; * Effective decision-making and problem-solving skills; * Skill in working with the public in a customer service environment; * Ability to work a flexible work schedule that may include some evening and weekend hours on occasion – 40 hours weekly; * Effective oral and written communication skills.
