The primary responsibility of this position is to professionally manage all aspects of the swim and fitness center to ensure guest satisfaction in both product and service provided to the Inn & Lodge guests, Suncadia & Tumble Creek Club members, their families and guests and any potential members that visit the facilities. Participate as a member of the resort team in building teamwork, effectiveness of services and the overall character of the resort experience.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Manage facility operations budget including, revenues, cost of sales, labor and expenses.
Reforecast operations budget on a monthly basis to ensure accuracy of projected year end results.
Assist with development and maintenance of training/procedural manuals for all areas within the swim and fitness facility.
Create and implement comprehensive training program for all new facility staff.
Ensure all daily operations are administered according to the established policies and procedures
Create staff schedules, correct bi-weekly timesheets and ensure overtime is kept to a minimum.
Ordering of all supplies needed to successfully operate the facility based on varying/seasonal demands.
Assist membership director to maintain accurate and detailed member files.
Develop, coordinate and implement club fitness and wellness programs with emphasis on: personal training, aqua and group exercise classes, fitness testing, cardiovascular and weight training for members and guests.
Plan and implement club special events. Focus on member programs for fitness, aqua and social events.
Assist members with requests for outside services.
Follow up in a timely manner to all guest, member and staff requests or inquires.
Understand and implement use of facility equipment/machinery with safety as a priority.
Monitor daily, weekly or monthly facility maintenance of equipment/machinery.
Facilitate/lead weekly, monthly and/or quarterly team meetings and trainings.
Assess the need for and makes recommendations regarding services and equipment needed.
Ensure member and associate safety in all areas of the club through on-going training and monthly safety topics.
Personally greet each club member as they enter facilities with a smile and their first or last name, depending on their preference.
Conducts tours of facilities for prospective members.
Maintains accurate retail billing records for accounting with legible handwriting.
Works with engineering staff members to ensure facility is maintain at the highest standards possible.
Develop soft programming offerings throughout the year
Other duties as assigned.
