We are looking for a SW Engineer to support software development in a Windows environment on NCR ATM's.
Design software subsystems, components, and their interfaces in support of business requirements
Develop installation packages for automated deployment
Develop high quality code to support technical architecture and design; Considers future systems architecture
Collaborates with product managers and other functions
Contributes to technical strategy discussions
Responsible for translation of business requirements to development/test/release plan and delivering this solution on time to the customer
Participate and contribute to an effective software development lifecycle including a high focus on customer support and root cause analysis
Conduct testing based on knowledge of system architecture, interdependencies and interactions
Accurately estimate time and resources for software development and test efforts
Provide technical input and assistance to internal and external product development teams
Communicate with the customer on a frequent basis both formally and informally to build a partnership and common goals
Incorporate unit testing/root cause analysis practices into software development process
5 years of related experience
Experience with C++
Experience in Windows environment
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, or Computer Engineering
Customer facing experience
Ability to learn existing and new applications and become familiar with them in a short amount of time to be able to "stand on your own"
Ability to work under pressure in a fast-moving environment, while balancing multiple concurrent projects of varying priorities
Proven communication, documentation and presentation skills
Ability to work independently with moderate supervision
Ability to effectively communicate with peers, and supervisors, and to work cooperatively in a teamwork environment to define, design and ship new features
