We are looking for a SW Engineer to support software development in a Windows environment on NCR ATM's.

Key responsibilities:

  • Design software subsystems, components, and their interfaces in support of business requirements

  • Develop installation packages for automated deployment

  • Develop high quality code to support technical architecture and design; Considers future systems architecture

  • Collaborates with product managers and other functions

  • Contributes to technical strategy discussions

  • Responsible for translation of business requirements to development/test/release plan and delivering this solution on time to the customer

  • Participate and contribute to an effective software development lifecycle including a high focus on customer support and root cause analysis

  • Conduct testing based on knowledge of system architecture, interdependencies and interactions

  • Accurately estimate time and resources for software development and test efforts

  • Provide technical input and assistance to internal and external product development teams

  • Communicate with the customer on a frequent basis both formally and informally to build a partnership and common goals

  • Incorporate unit testing/root cause analysis practices into software development process

Basic Requirements:

  • 5 years of related experience

  • Experience with C++

  • Experience in Windows environment

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, or Computer Engineering

  • Customer facing experience

  • Ability to learn existing and new applications and become familiar with them in a short amount of time to be able to "stand on your own"

  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-moving environment, while balancing multiple concurrent projects of varying priorities

  • Proven communication, documentation and presentation skills

  • Ability to work independently with moderate supervision

  • Ability to effectively communicate with peers, and supervisors, and to work cooperatively in a teamwork environment to define, design and ship new features
