This job is responsible for oversight of the strategic direction of the Treasury Management function, including sales, marketing and product development, to ensure profitable growth and alignment with the organization's long-range business goals.
Oversees the development and implementation of a comprehensive sales strategy designed to enhance and increase market share and penetration. Utilizes expertise in Treasury Management and understanding of market to establish sales goals and objectives. Develops clear performance objectives and expectations for team to achieve desired growth, productivity and profitability.
Directs the marketing and development of all Treasury Management products, services and delivery to ensure competitive products, services and practices that meet the needs of current and prospective customers. Ensures adherence to regulatory guidelines and monitors associated risks and identifies optimal balance between risk management, compliance and profitability.
Formulates and oversees the effective implementation of Treasury Management policies, procedures, programs designed to achieve sales, service and profitability goals.
Develops and manages the function's budget. Ensures revenue goals and profitability targets are met or exceeded.
Maintains and develops a vast network of professional contacts to expand the organization's lending and financial services relationships.
Ensures that opportunities are afforded to staff to develop and maintain their skills at the highest standards. Fosters, through mentoring and leadership, critical and independent thinking skills and behaviors in staff.
Ensures that staff is developed and utilized as a resource pool for other areas of the organization. Exercises full authority of a manager concerning hiring, performance management, reviews, promotions, salary recommendations and terminations.
Adheres to compliance procedures and internal/operational risk controls, including but not limited to BSA/AML/OFAC, in accordance with any and all applicable regulatory standards, requirements, and policies.
Advanced degree or relevant experience.
10+ years of relevant experience.
Preferred Master's degree in business, or related subject.
Proven success in a leadership role within Treasury Management Services.
Superior theoretical and practical expertise in financial and business planning, strategic market planning, product management and development, and segmentation, within a Treasury Management function.
Exceptional analytical and critical thinking skills to monitor the marketplace and relevant trends, identifying business issues and opportunities in a highly competitive environment.
Excellent motivational and leadership skills to gain staff support in executing changes in policies and procedures. Demonstrated ability to lead a successful sales team; and to inform, educate and coach employees to support and achieve corporate goals and objectives.
Mastery presentation skills are needed to enhance the organization's image to the current and prospective customer base. Excellent ability to influence others.
Superior ability to interpret financial results and business indicators to identify trends and opportunities.
Demonstrated strength in recognizing and focusing on critical issues; can balance and respond to competing needs within the organization.
Can be located in either Bridgeport or Boston.
