The Senior Credit Administrator manages, directs, and controls the loan activities of the Bank in the areas of financial analysis, underwriting, portfolio management and, based on the Bank's Lending Authorities, will approve or decline loan requests. Specific area of focus will be C&I Lending. The role provides guidance to lending officers, portfolio managers, underwriters and credit analysts with respect to the Bank's Credit Policies and compliance with banking regulations.
Reports To: SEVP Sr. Chief Credit Officer
Responsible for, but not limited to, reviewing and approving credit requests to ensure that proposed loans adhere to existing policy guidelines, direct the work of underwriters and credit administrators, ensuring that the credits adhere to existing credit policy guidelines and applicants are deemed credit-worthy.
Will approve or reject the more complex or sizeable loans or loan commitments within the banks various specialized lending groups, where difficult questions of policy or credit risk may be involved.
Will establish, implement, and manages administrative and review systems and procedures to protect the quality and profitability of the loan portfolio, identify potential problem credits; work with special credits group to minimize losses, and coordinate the efforts of underwriters, credit analysts, and processing personnel.
Will provide for training, development, and coordination of loan department representatives and credit analysts, advise credit and lending personnel on the company's overall lending policy, noting significant trends, and assist the CCO in creating and administering all policies and procedures.
May oversee the contributions of portfolio managers, underwriters, credit administrators and additional key contributors to the loan execution process.
Must be up to date on all regulatory laws, stay abreast of economic and industry trends, and be able to complete performance reviews and recommendations for promotion and/or salary increases of staff.
Responsible for adherence to all compliance program, including but not limited to, completion of all required and assigned training modules by established due dates.

Must be able to demonstrate the ability to independently assess prospective and existing banking relationships and analyze complex loan proposals, structures and financial statements.
Must be proficient in MS Word, MS Excel, and MS PowerPoint.
Education and/or Experience:
Bachelor's degree with a major in finance or business , MBA preferred. Minimum of 10+ years' experience in C&I credit approval.
