Position Overview

The SVP, IT & IS Risk Management position is responsible for 2nd line of defense oversight of the organization's IT & IS activities and reports directly to the Wintrust Chief Risk Officer. This individual will lead the 2nd line of defense IT & IS oversight function to ensure appropriate identification, measurement, and monitoring of Information Technology (IT) and Information Security (IS) risks.

What You'll Do

• Collaborate with management within the IT/IS function to ensure the completeness and strength of the IT/IS risk and data governance program, including policies, processes, risk metrics, and risk assessments.

• Manage a small IT/IS risk management team within the CRO Office that promotes a culture of risk awareness and management across the organization.

• Ensure appropriate risk reporting is provided to senior management and the board governance committees with respect to the Company's IT/IS risk profile.

• Participate as an independent risk management representative in IT/IS Risk Management Governance Committees.

Qualifications

• 5-10 years of professional experience in a financial institution in a relevant area such as IT/IS, IT/IS Risk Advisory, IT/IS Consulting, or IT/IS Audit.

• Strong understanding of Risk Management principles and concepts and IT/IS risk assessments and control reviews.

• Strong leadership, management, and governance skills.

• Excellent interpersonal skills and experience interacting Executive Management.

• Bachelor's degree, relevant experience, and/or Certifications (CISA, CISSP, CISM, CBCP, or CIA) desired.
