Responsibilities:

The Private Bank Balance Sheet Lead is part of the Private Bank LFO team and covers all aspects of Loans and Deposits revenue, and balances across products, geographies, bankers, and clients.
The role requires close partnership and coordination with the global and regional product management teams in the business, Citi Institutional Clients Group (ICG) balance sheet teams, as well as Treasury, and Controllers.
Report and analyze revenue (spreads, client rates, LP), drivers (balances, client behavior, macroeconomic trends), RWA and TCE impacts, and key performance indicators to measure the business performance.
Develop analytics on themes that arise at senior management's and finance partner's request and /or proactive research of potential issues including product analytics, client analysis and competitor comparison for Private Bank.
Assist business in ad hoc projects and assess the associated impact to the financials (i.e. LIBOR transition, LP frameworks, banker scorecards, etc.)
Partner with both onshore and offshore (Mumbai & Costa Rica) teams to drive efficiencies and enhance analytical prowess.
Lead all forecasting processes as it pertains to the balance sheet products including Operating Plan, MYF, CCAR, and Monthly Outlooks
Prepare analytics in support of CEO Reviews including business initiatives
Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency

Qualifications:

10+ years of relevant experience
Experience within financial services
Experience providing financial analysis for monthly forecasts, strategic multi-year forecasts, and annual budgets
Proficient Microsoft Office skills with an emphasis on Excel and PowerPoint
Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication

Education:

Bachelor's degree/University degree or equivalent experience

Master's degree preferred

VIEW JOBS The successful candidate will be initially responsible for assisting with the liquidity management of the Parent Company (PCo), including working with the trading desk to execute funding transactions to balance liquidity risk positions and developing and maintaining liquidity assumptions and models embedded in the risk positions of the Parent Company. The role will also play a key part in the development of balance sheet analysis tools and oversight of the interest rate risk management metrics for the PCo. The job environment will be fast paced and fluid, with the successful candidate capable of effectively handling shifting / conflicting priorities. This role will closely follow latest trends in Treasury, particularly Liquidity and Interest Rate Risk management and adapt them for application within the Parent Company Treasury Group. Excellent communication skills required in order to negotiate internally, often at a senior level. Developed communication and diplomacy skills are required in order to guide, influence and convince others, in particular colleagues in other Treasury areas and other functional areas. Accountable for driving significant direct results in managing liquidity and net interest margin outcomes and providing authoritative advice / recommendations regarding selecting trade-offs between multiple simultaneous constraints in liquidity levels, earnings outcomes, and debt / capital levels. Necessitates a strong understanding of technical strategy as well as business fundamentals. Key Group Responsibilities: The Parent Company Legal Entity Treasury Group (PCo LET) engages in a wide range of activities in virtually all major Treasury initiatives including: * Management of Parent Company Liquidity position and funding flows including closely coordinated positioning requirements of Bank and Broker Dealer businesses. * Global legal vehicle re-structuring initiatives related to changes in tax rules, emerging/ongoing resolution requirements, legal entity simplification, and acquisition/divestiture activity. * Global M&A support for all acquisition/divestiture/joint venture initiatives. * Treasury support for global O&T initiatives. * Review / Approval of firm-wide Legal Entity Capital Requests. * Review / Approval of firm-wide Corporate Guarantee Requests * Contribution to the governance of funding, investing and analytics of the balance sheet, including: * Management of liquidity risk, oversight of interest rate risk, effectiveness of transfer pricing frameworks, capital/legal entity structure and capital planning as well as managing rating agency relationships. * Involvement in capital markets activities including Citigroup long term debt issuance, commercial paper and securitization issuance.
