The SVP of Sales & Revenue will drive the development & execution of a transformative commercial strategy focused on generating revenue growth for HBCE. This position is accountable for Pricing/Analytics, Revenue Management, Sales Strategy, Training & Development, Global/National Sales and an Integrated Contact Center. Lead a team of 275 Sales & Revenue Shipmates, the SVP will develop the commercial engine infrastructure to further market adoption/growth of the company's products & experiences.


SVP of Sales & Revenue Essential

Duties & Responsibilities:

Economic Growth:

  • Drive Top Line Revenue year over year to meet the business goals and objectives

  • Grow EBITDA year over year to support business growth, goals and objectives

  • Generate innovative commercial strategies to reach new market share

  • Serve as an effective representative of HBCE and Ownership within broader hospitality and community aspects

  • Demonstrate a relentless focus on the Guest and Client experience

Commercial Engine Leadership:

  • Direct and lead the commercial activities of the PL

  • Drive revenues on a weekly, monthly and annual basis

  • Develop collaborative working relationships within the organization in pursuit of the overall business goals and objectives

  • Drive results, set benchmarks independent of and beyond historical best practices

  • Demonstrate strong commercial leadership through an analytic approach leveraging metrics to meet objective

  • Develop, motivate and retain a high performing Commercial Team

  • Demonstrate proactive approach with diagnosing and addressing issues as they arise that may negatively impact the performance of the commercial engine

  • Ability to model organizational values consistent with HBCE - Integrity, Respect for Diversity & Inclusion and Transparency

  • Be on the forefront of sales and distribution technology that drives high tech/high touch and sales effectiveness

Sales:

  • Design and implement the company's sales strategy across key market segments to ensure the company optimizes a clear path to aggressive growth.

  • Proven experience in a high paced environment of providing sales and revenue teams a variety of strategic initiatives including acquisitions, expansion into new markets and growth of core and organic business

  • Assess, build and manage a variety of necessary channels capable of delivering on the company's growth objectives including channels such as:

  • Corporate/Group Sales

  • B2B Sales

  • Consumer Direct Sales

  • Develop competitive sales incentive plan(s) to generate top line revenue growth as well as motivate and inspire the sales force

  • Elevate the tracking, monitoring and analysis of sales activities and performance to ensure profitability and ROI

  • Lead the national sales force in partnership with the Regional Vice President's

  • Broaden and deepen HBCE's footprint in digital and online sales

  • Drive aggressive smart growth while understanding not all revenue is equal

Product Development:

  • Responsible for the product and experience pricing, yielding of the company's product

  • Responsible for generating innovative product concepts

SVP of Sales & Revenue

Minimum Qualifications:
  • MBA preferred

  • Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, communication, public relations or similar field

  • 10+ years' experience in a commercial executive leadership role

  • Significant experience in Events and/or Memberships

  • Significant experience within the Sales and Marketing Industry

  • 5+ years of experience within the hospitality industry preferred

  • Moderate travel required

Reporting to Director of Revenue, this position will be responsible for implementing and supporting company product pricing, market strategy, and revenue management best practices for Entertainment Cruises (six brands). Facilitate revenue generation & maximization through full utilization of company systems, business processes and specifications. Develop sales reports and in depth analyses of the company revenue. Essential Duties & Responsibilities: * Prepare weekly reports and analyses that provide a synopsis of results from the previous week's sales effort. * Daily monitoring of all vessels to seek opportunities for price management, increase utilization of inventory and any efficiency that may present themselves. * Work closely with the Director of Revenue Management and the fleets' Sales Directors to establish and implement pricing, yield and selling strategies for the fleet based on the company guidelines. * Work closely with the Director of Revenue and the fleets' Sales Directors to ensure their pricing objectives are met without having a negative impact on revenue or EBITDA. * Provide support to the fleet's sales force regarding usage of our internal reservation system (EBMS), that is non IT related. * Weekly/Monthly reporting on strategic initiatives, market segments activities, development lists, and additional reports to be determine by the Director of Revenue or senior executives. * Provide support to the senior management for meeting preparation. * Report and prepare monthly sales commission payouts for Entertainment Cruises sales force. * Liaison to the accounting department for the Revenue department and the national sales organization. * Assist with the annual budget development and ongoing results analysis. * Promote teamwork and quality service through communication/briefings and coordination with other departments. * Additional job duties assigned. Minimum Qualifications: * Bachelor's degree required and previous Revenue Management or Pricing experience is preferred. * Strong computer skills: Word, Excel, Power Point (required) * Highly detail oriented with strong analytical skills * Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills * Mathematical skills, including basic math, budgeting, profit/loss concepts, percentages and variances are utilized frequently. * Demonstrate knowledge of effective pricing concepts, yield management optimization and selling strategies, and ability to determine which concepts to apply in given market conditions. * Problem solving, reasoning, motivating, and organizational abilities are used often.
