Reporting directly to the Executive Vice President of Marketing, the SVP Marketing, Street & Active is responsible for spearheading all brand marketing efforts directly supporting key brands within ABG's portfolio of Street & Active brands. The SVP Marketing is an influential leader who drives marketing innovation through collaboration and process. This role embraces strategic planning and execution, oversees brand building and stewardship, and drives breakthrough initiatives that move the needle. The SVP Marketing will collaborate with peer groups across functions including the Street & Active Business Unit, Digital, Social Media, Creative, Experience and PR to build and execute 360 Degree marketing programs. The SVP Marketing is also responsible for developing relationships with global partners to develop the brands' strategic vision in key markets and drive marketing campaigns that extend from the annual brand plan. The SVP Marketing will oversee and mentor a team of direct reports and will liaise regularly with internal and external partners to assure that marketing plans are on budget, goals are being met, and that they support revenue goals and brand initiatives.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • In conjunction with EVP Marketing set overall brand strategy and marketing plans tied to Street & Active brand goals and annual revenue targets

  • Oversee the direction, implementation, and execution of brand and marketing initiatives in support of the brand vision and business goals for Street & Active brands

  • Utilize the full marketing mix for brand marketing plans

  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders on ongoing brand development and provide direction and support to facilitate growth

  • Lead strategic and tactical brand marketing meetings with internal partners and key licensees to facilitate a joint activation plans with deliverables, timeline and accountability

  • Identify ongoing research needs by brand; make recommendations, manage research projects, present findings to key stakeholders

  • Manage Street & Active marketing budgets; drive efficiencies and metrics associated with spend and return

  • Manage direct reports; mentor, provide oversight and clear direction

  • Partner on brand strategy discussions and planning; identify target consumer and retail audiences; determine tiering needs; analyzeconsumer trends and market data, identify brand growth opportunities.

  • Lead the charge on consistent brand messaging across all consumer touch points

  • Spearhead Brand Summits to communicate brand message to external partners

As part of the Chief Operating Office, this team works across all parts of the organization to collect demand, ensure each investment has robust business case and justification, and creates and presents optimization scenarios to senior management with recommendations on how we put investment dollars to work. This team has oversight over $2 billion in discretionary spend demand and the leader of this group is responsible for the following * Establish and oversee a governance process with the senior leadership team to facilitate strategic planning, drive to decisions, and ensure the timely flow of information across Cards. * Drive a monthly investment and ROI-driven optimization process that enables swaps through a risk and opportunities framework. * Partner with Product Management, Marketing, Decision Management, Risk, Finance, and Technology to develop a disciplined framework of strategic, demand generation, and "lights on" expense management. Drive decisions that protect strategic focus on the future. * Partner with Marketing and Finance on a disciplined approach to Forecasting & Reporting so that trends tie to decisions * Partner with Technology to collect and prioritize technology demand that balances safety and soundness, growth, customer experience, and capabilities in line with strategy * Manage process to collect and approve all discretionary spend and facilitate discussions with senior leadership to review and approve spend * Oversee tracking of internal/external funding, revenue, and network commitments. Drive closure of revenue/expense gaps. * Partner with Reengineering team to ensure Cards meets or exceeds milestones and financial benefits for strategic reengineering initiatives. * Manage and inspire a high-performing team to achieve stretch targets; attract and recruit top talent. Qualifications: * 15+ years experience in project administration and background in operational areas. * Experience in finance and processes administration. * Action-oriented, entrepreneurial, flexible, and innovative approach to management. * Passion, humility, integrity, positive attitude, mission oriented, and self-directed. * Excellent influencing, facilitation, and partnering skills with key stakeholders and Senior Management. * Strategic and goal-oriented thinker. * Effective interpersonal skills – including teamwork and organizational skills. * Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication; a persuasive and passionate communicator with excellent public speaking skills. * Detail oriented, ability to multi-task.
