Sustainable Process Solutions (SPS) is an enterprise-wide function responsible for driving large scale business transformations. The SPS team solves challenging and complex business problems across various functions providing a broad exposure across U.S. Bank. As a team member, you will work closely with colleagues at all levels, from senior business leaders to front line staff. SPS is seeking a new team member at the Consultant level.

Consultants are responsible for owning key deliverables within workstreams and work in collaboration with team members and Business Partners to identify, design, and implement sustainable solutions. To be successful, Consultants need to develop strong working relationships with business partners, subject matter experts, support functions, and other key stakeholders. Consultants also must be able to combine a high level strategic approach, with an ability to be hands-on in executing tasks needed for the success of the business.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Gather and analyze information, formulate and test hypotheses, and develop and communicate recommendations for projects and workstreams

  • Manage project or workstream as part of enterprise-wide transformation initiatives. Work with Business Leaders to shape and manage project scope, drive implementation, and ensure sustainable outcomes

  • Provide objective advice, expertise and specialist knowledge with the aim of creating value, maximizing growth, or improving business performance

  • Create and manage stakeholder updates, including executive presentations

  • Train, coach and mentor project team members

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor' s degree in a relevant field, or an equivalent combination of education and work experience.

  • 5 years of related experience with proficiency and understanding in one or more functions, including 2 years of experience in a similar of type role.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Previous work experience within project teams to drive complex projects from process assessment to future state definition to solution delivery (including integration of process, people, and technology solutions)

  • Exceptional analytical and problem solving skills

  • Exceptional in the MS Office suite (PowerPoint, Excel, Visio, and Word)

  • Strong presentation development and verbal/written communication skills

  • Experience in project management, Lean/Six Sigma methodologies, and Agile

  • Experience from management consulting at a top-tier firm or internal consulting at a Fortune 500 entity

  • Graduate degree

  • Ability and willingness to travel approximately 25% of the time (travel will fluctuate depending on project and location)

Wholesale and International Strategy (WIS) is accountable for strategy of (a) Wholesale Banking and (b) international business for the enterprise. As part of the process, WIS facilitates discussions among senior leaders to promote alignment and collaboration across LOBs and support groups. The types of initiatives include business portfolio reviews, business strategy formulation, priority alignment across LOBs, business case development for strategic investment, and enhancement of control and governance. WIS is part of the Wholesale COO Group. The Wholesale and International Strategy Consultant is responsible for assisting senior members of the team to support the strategic planning process and work on various strategic initiatives. A successful candidate must have strong analytical, problem-solving and communication skills with a strategic mindset. The candidate with a solid understanding of Wholesale Banking businesses would be preferred. The candidate needs to have robust leadership and organizational/interpersonal skills as he/she need to collaborate with partners from LOBs and support groups. Primary responsibilities: * Support WIS Senior Leads/Leads/Senior Consultants as they lead strategic initiatives, solve strategic issues and manage the strategic planning process * Help develop project plans by structuring issues that need to be resolved, identifying key activities and determining timelines * Frame analysis required for problem solving, gather necessary data and information and conduct analysis to draw insights * Help develop recommendations, business cases and implementation plans * Draft documentations of analysis and recommendations * Interact with junior members of subject matter experts to obtain necessary information for problem solving * Support monitoring of industry and global trends to assess possible implications and impact on Wells Fargo strategy * Perform all of the above with an enterprise mindset to ensure alignment, consistency, and maximization of shareholder value Team members support our focus on building strong customer relationships balanced with a strong risk mitigating and compliance-driven culture which firmly establishes those disciplines as critical to the success of our customers and company.
