This science-based goal is a multi-year carbon emissions reduction goal that is aligned with getting to carbon neutrality 10 years faster than the latest scientific guidance. In alignment with this bold corporate goal, the Amazon Devices & Services organization is invested in implementing sustainable materials in our Hardware products. The Sustainable Materials Product Design Technical Program Manager (PD TPM) will work closely with an internal inter-disciplinary team and outside partners to drive these sustainable materials initiatives.

In this role, you be part of the central Amazon Devices & Services Sustainability team, working closely with the Product Design engineering teams and PD TPMs across all programs in all product families to impact product definition, execution, test and delivery in alignment with our Devices & Services sustainable materials goals. In addition, you will be responsible for defining the roadmap of sustainable materials identification, qualification, and implementation in the product roadmap, in partnership with the Advanced Materials, Operations and Process Engineering teams. You will provide support and coordination within the Process Engineering team to facilitate distribution and tracking of sustainable materials under test, returns failure assessment and response, and documentation of lessons learned.

  • Work across all product teams to identify, qualify, and implement sustainable materials across all devices & accessories program

  • Define and drive roadmap of sustainable materials including qualification plans, budgeting, product roadmap intercept identification, and implementation

  • Lead sustainable materials executive status review forums to drive accountability

  • Introduce processes into the Amazon Devices Product Development Process to make sustainable materials part of the standard operations

  • Manage factory builds for new materials qualification
