Job Summary: Knife River Idaho Division is looking for a motivated and experienced Surveyor/GPS Operator.

Primary Job Duties:

  • Read survey stakes

  • Set grade stakes

  • Determine grade specifications

  • Measuring horizontally and vertically

  • Direct and conduct surveys

  • Record results of surveys

  • Calculate Heights, depths, relative positions, property lines and other characteristics of terrain

  • Other duties as assigned

This position will require you to be able to work both independently and as a team player. Travel will be required and working in extreme weather conditions should be expected.

Minimum Qualifications:
2 + years working as a Surveyor/GPS Modeling

  • Accurate use of measuring instruments and hand tools (Agtek/Auto Cad)

  • Experience with Topcon modeling for heavy construction

  • Must be able to work well under pressure

  • Must be able to travel

  • Must be able to work all shifts including nights and weekends

  • Must be able to work independently

  • Must have a valid driver's license

The Operations Manager, Paper Board Production leads a team of 2 direct and 120 indirect individuals and is responsible for the operations of multiple paperboard production and extrusion machines within an integrated paperboard and tissue mill, a business generating approximately $ 600-650M in revenue. This role is part of an overall leadership team for Clearwater Paper's largest and most complex manufacturing operation. We are seeking an Manufacturing Operations leader for our Lewiston, Idaho pulp and paper board facility with a proven track record of both operations' leadership and organizational development. This person must have progressive leadership experience with end to end papermaking and extrusion processes as well as continious process improvement methodolgies. They will possess broad knowledge of papermaking processes as well as the financial acumen of key drivers that influence pulp and paper mill economics. A strong candidate must have demonstrated experience in strategic planning, identifying long-term operational needs as well as developing and implementing strategies to strengthening the mill's performance. They will have a proven track record of driving and sustaining EHS results as well as a demonstrated track record of driving continuous improvement. Responsibilities Key Accountabilities: Leadership * Lead papermachine & extrusion teams to develop and deliver key business metrics focusing on cost management and productivity goals that enable the site to meet or exceed expectations. * Build organizational capabilities (structure, leadership competencies and organizational talent mix) and reinforce a culture of driving industry leading performance. * Lead the "front end" paper board and extrusion production departments in a way that fosters a culture committed to safety, quality, and a fully engaged workforce in a manner consistent with Clearwater Paper Values. * Support and demonstrate the values of continuous improvement, learning and shared accomplishment Strategy * Drive short- and long-term strategy development and implementation across operations to achieve department goals and objectives ensuring alignment with broader mill, division and corporate strategic plans. * Provide insights on available capacity, manufacturing capability, and demand; identify opportunities to improve efficiencies, develop and implement plans ensuring alignment with broader mills, division and corporate strategic plans * Develop manufacturing models and corresponding inventory strategies that deliver against operational cost targets * Proactively drive cost optimization projects that deliver higher efficiency on an ongoing basis. * Champion organizational development and talent programs that anticipate and address shifts in talent pools. Qualifications Qualifications/Education/Experiences: * Quick learner, who is optimistic and curious with a strong motivation for continuous improvement through collaboration. * Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Business Administration Operations Management or related field required; Master's Degree preferred * 10+ years of continuous manufacturing process leadership with increasing experience in pulp and paper production; with a minimum of 5 years of budgetary responsibilities demonstrating strong business acumen. * A minimum of seven (7) years' paperboard production is required. * Maintenance, Supply Chain or Commercial experience are considered a plus. * Demonstrated experiences in identifying and leading process improvement initiatives functionally and organizationally applying Six Sigma, Lean, Kaizen and change management methodologies * Strong organizational and leadership skills required.
