Surveyor provides surveying services to company supervisors and craft to ensure construction work complies with all appropriate standards. Surveyor reports to the Surveyor Superintendent and the Surveyor Manager in a matrix organizational structure.
What You'll Do:
Responsible for the strict adherence to company safety policies and programs through the communication and enforcement of the Skanska Safety and Health Management Program, including the ability to independently stop work for a safety violation or suspected safety violation;
Ability to perform all roadway and bridge layout and a full understanding of agency standards and specifications;
Ability to run and reduce horizontal and vertical controls for the project;
Perform calculations for vertical and horizontal layout;
Preparation and maintenance of as-built drawing for the project;
Provide topographic and cross-section surveys as required for planning and placement quantities;
Provide quantity calculations as required;
Ability to manage and integrate data into grade control systems and GPS data collectors.
We're Looking For:
Computer proficient and the ability to adapt to new innovations and processes;
Broad understanding of industry;
Strong written, communication and problem-solving skills;
Ability to maintain discretion and confidentiality at all times;
Good time management and organizational skills;
Demonstrates leadership skills;
RLS, PLS or PE accreditation preferred;
5+ years of experience working with bridge survey crews preferred.
