Minimum Training & Experience
SURVEY TECHNICIAN I
Minimum Training and Experience
Possession of a high school diploma or an equivalent recognized certificate. Directly related experience may be substituted on a year-for-year basis for the required education.
Necessary Special Requirements
Must possess a valid Class E State driver's license at the time of appointment.
Individuals hired into this job class after the effective date of this revision must progress to the Survey Technician II level within 24-months of hire as a condition of continued employment.
SURVEY TECHNICIAN II
Minimum Training and Experience
Possession of a high school diploma or an equivalent recognized certificate and two years' experience that includes duties as a member of a land surveying crew.
Necessary Special Requirements
Possession of a valid class "E" State driver's license at the time of appointment.
Note: Preference may be given to applicants that possess certifications (or can document acceptable training) in Maintenance of Traffic (Intermediate Level), Confined Space Entry, Excavation and Trenching, OSHA 10-Hour Health and Safety in construction certification.
SURVEY TECHNICIAN III
Minimum Training and Experience
Possession of a high school diploma or an equivalent recognized certificate and four years of technical survey experience.
Necessary Special Requirements
Must possess a valid Class E State driver's license at the time of appointment.
Must possess certifications (or can document acceptable training) in Maintenance of Traffic (Intermediate Level), Confined Space, Excavation and Trenching, OSHA 10-Hour Health and Safety in construction certification and National Incident Management System.
Salary Range
$17.2542 to $46.8208/hourly. Hiring rate generally will not exceed $25.4068/hour
Additional Information
4-10 hour day work week (M - Th) or (T - F).
