Focus Pointe Global, a leading market research company, is currently seeking a Survey Research Associate to work out of the company headquarters in Center City Philadelphia.

The Survey Research Associate will be responsible for constructing a variety of market research surveys, including but not limited to consumer, medical and business surveys. Additionally, the survey research associate will also be responsible for matching client sample lists to our internal database, performing searches and queries to aid our Project Management team, sending out emails to sample pulled for specific projects, and responding to follow-up requests for additional sample to be emailed and/or faxed.


  • Construct, monitor, and adjust market research surveys

  • Prepare data-rich sample

  • Match and format client lists to an internal database

  • Perform searches and queries to aid the project management team

  • Continually send emails to database sample through the company's custom program or emailer

  • Construct email invitations

  • Respond to follow-up requests for additional sample from an internal database


  • Mastery of Excel is essential

  • Mastery of the Windows Operating System

  • Basic programming or HTML skills a plus

  • Familiarity with a mass faxing/email system

  • Experience with Access and SQL is a plus

  • Strong attention to detail

  • Able to travel daily to Philadelphia, PA

  • Must be available to work Monday through Friday from:

  • 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM

  • OR -

  • 11:00 AM to 7:00 PM

Proficiency with Microsoft Excel will be tested for further consideration.

The Federal Reserve Bank of Philadelphia is seeking an sophomore or junior for a year round internship in the Bank's Research Department, with majors in Economics, Finance or Statistics. Working Hours: 10 hours weekly and 40 hours during the summer This position involves working with the regional economics section of the Research Department. This section is responsible for evaluating regional data using published sources as well as gathering information from the department's own regional business surveys. The position will involve working with one of our most visible surveys, The Manufacturing Business Outlook Survey, which is long-standing and a nationally well-recognized survey of manufacturing conditions in the region. The work involves learning about all elements of the production of this survey (including compilation of survey questions, data collection, and analysis); improving data quality; maintenance of a panel data set; and analysis of the unique micro data spanning nearly 50 years. Required skills: Research skills involving working with data and data manipulation are essential. Beginning programming skills and previous experience working with advanced capabilities in Excel, Access, R, and databases such as Access or SQL would be a plus.
