Survey Party Chief

Job Description:

The Survey Crew Chief will supervise the survey crew staff and perform various types of surveys including boundary, topographic, and construction layout surveys. Responsibilities also include performing project research, making calculations, and collecting accurate survey data, which contains notes and sketches in both electronic and conventional formats.

• Supervise Survey Crew - direct and control survey field crew members so that maximum work efficiency and accuracy is attained.

• Must actively ensure that all safety requirements are adhered to.

• Crew personnel training.

• Pre-survey planning with project team.

• Gather field survey information through conventional and GPS methods.

• Read & Interpret engineering plans

• Prepares accurate field notes, drawings, and calculations as required for field assignments.

• Management of electronic data collection (upload & download).

• Must ensure proper maintenance of all survey equipment and vehicles.

Qualifications:

• Must have experience as a Survey Crew Chief.

• Certification in Basic Work Zone Safety is a plus.

• Ability to solve issues encountered in the field such as typical field calculations.

• Must have a valid driver's license and a clean driving record.

Work Environment:

• 12 in the office, 4 in the field, 6 licensed professionals, offering abundant growth and mentorship opportunities.

• This is a fully on-site position in Royal Palm Beach, Florida.
