Survey Manager - Bridge and I-75
Bridging North America (BNA) is a consortium comprised of Aecon, ACS and Fluor and has been selected by Windsor Detroit Bridge Authority (WDBA) to deliver the Gordie Howe International Bridge Project. Aecon Major Projects is seeking a highly qualified and experienced person to be seconded into the Project Co. for this complex P3 design and construction project.The Survey Manager will be responsible for coordinating all survey subcontracts and layout on various aspects of the construction project with a high level of accuracy, ensuring the design criteria is adhered to and well documented.
Key ResponsibilitiesCoordinate and undertake planning and implementation of survey requirements to facilitate construction activities
Organize and manage survey operations and personnel
Maintain and verify high accuracy control network
Equipment procurement, maintenance and calibrations
Maintain accurate survey records, documentation and stamped submittals
Provide layout at various stages of construction
Provide clear communication with client, design team and construction team in a professional manner
Manage As-Built information and digital records
Required Knowledge & Skills
Post-secondary education in Surveying or GeomaticsQualified and Licensed Michigan Land Surveyor is an asset
Knowledge of survey practices, standards and laws
Minimum 10 years experience in Construction surveying
Minimum 5 years experience in lead surveyor/ management role
Microstation and Civil 3D Proficiency required
Strong computer skills and proficient in the use of office, data, surveying and engineering based software
Excellent oral and written communication skills and organizational skills
