Survey Crew Chief

Sambatek is currently seeking a Survey Crew Chief to work with a team to execute surveying projects. This individual is responsible for coordinating the activities of a survey crew, as well as gathering the required field survey data for use in survey projects and design surveys in conjunction with engineering projects. This is a high production oriented position.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical expertise to internal and external clients

  • Perform field work for land surveying scopes of work including construction staking, boundary location, ALTA and topography for various project types

  • Organize field staking materials as necessary

  • Operate GPS, total stations and data collectors

  • Transfer files between data collectors and internal company project folders

  • Maintain productive working relationships with all clients and coworkers

  • Adere to the company's Safety, Quality Management and Equipment Maintenance policies

Physical Requirements

  • Physically mobile in and around construction sites and field assignments

  • Ability to carry survey equipment and supplies in remote, rural or urban surroundings

  • Ability to lift 50 pounds and walk long distances

Required Experience

  • 3 years of experience working as a Crew Chief or 1 year as a Crew Chief + an AAS degree

  • Ability to meet deadlines and stay within designated project budgets

  • Valid driver's license and clean driving history

  • Basic office suite computer skills

VIEW JOBS 9/6/2019 12:00:00 AM 2019-12-05T00:00 Medica's Utilization Management (UM) Supervisor is accountable for the daily operational support and strategic activities of their assigned team, and is also accountable for achieving department objectives and maintaining flexibility to meet business needs. This leader will support a team of UM Nurses and will have a focus on managing post-acute inpatient reviews. Supervision of clinical staff will include ensuring strategic and business processes are established, maintained and communicated, and effective interdepartmental communications are established. In addition to the coaching and staff development responsibilities, the UM Supervisor must also build strong relationships with internal and external partners. More specifically, support the Manager, Utilization Management in relationship building within Medica and its vendor partners to help prioritize, integrate and coordinate interventions for population segments based on medical, behavioral and social needs. Supervisory responsibilities include: * Supervise day-to-day team responsibilities: recruiting, hiring, training and team members * Audit team members for compliance against policies and procedures and NCQA audit requirements * Manage team members work load and monitor staffing ratios * Provide performance appraisals and reward recognition * Facilitate assigned team meetings and work with Managers, Supervisors and leads for coordinated departmental team meetings, functions and responsibilities * Develop job descriptions and goals for team members * Provides support for monthly reporting for business segments and leadership on key performance targets including productivity, closure of gaps in service, outcomes, satisfaction surveys and quality indicators Qualifications * Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Nursing * 5+ years of clinical experience; experience working in post-acute care, skilled nursing, inpatient supervision, or Medicare focused roles strongly preferred * Leadership experience including direct supervision of clinical or non-clinical staff * Medicare guideline knowledge strongly preferred Skills and Abilities * Excellent customer service skills and proven team building skills. * Excellent computer skills including Microsoft Word, Outlook, Power Point and Excel * High degree of initiative and ability to work independently, and within a group. * Demonstrated effective project management skills, including use of project planning and tracking tools; development of achievable goals, objectives, and timelines; and innovative use of resources. * Ability to plan, organize and prioritize work effectively, including the flexibility to accommodate frequent changes. * Strong problem solving skills. * Consultant skills to articulate business needs and translate to quality programs that result in targeted staff competencies. * Strong leadership skills Certifications/ Licensure: * Registered Nurse with current licensure in the State of Minnesota Medica Minnetonka MN
