Role Overview
As a Survey Coordinator, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth execution of surveying projects. Your responsibilities will encompass various aspects of survey coordination, project management, and client communication. Responsibilities
Crew Scheduling Coordination and Liaison: Schedule field crews for layout staking, boundary, and topographic survey projects. Act as a liaison between survey crews and engineering teams to ensure efficient communication.
Staking Calculations and Documentation: Prepare accurate construction layout staking calculations, reports, and documentation.
Project Management: Manage staking and survey timelines, budgets, and deliverables and update clients on project progress.
Pricing and Cost Estimation: Calculate pricing for topographic surveys, staking services, and other survey-related tasks to provide accurate cost estimates to clients and engineers.
Asset Management: Maintain records of survey equipment, tools, and assets. Coordinate equipment calibration and maintenance.
Ohio 811 Ticket Management: Coordinate and manage Ohio 811 tickets for surveying activities ensuring compliance with safety protocols and regulations during fieldwork. Coordinate design tickets to obtain any available utility maps and field marks not located during the initial survey process.
Miscellaneous Plats and Easements: Handle plat preparation and easement documentation. Ensure compliance with local requirements.
Project Research: Conduct research on multiple county websites to acquire deeds, plats and survey.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Ability to read and understand construction plans.
Construction experience is preferred, but not required.
Proficiency in surveying software and tools (e.g., AutoCAD, Total Stations, GPS) is a plus.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
Familiarity with land surveying standards and practices is preferred, but not required.
