RMC is looking for a Surveillance Systems Subject Matter Expert to support the Department of Homeland Security (DHS)/Customs and Border Protection (CBP)/Air and Marine Operations (AMO). DHS/CBP/AMO's mission is to protect the American people and the Nation's critical infrastructure. This is accomplished through the coordinated use of integrated air and marine forces to detect, interdict, and prevent acts of terrorism and the unlawful movement of people, illegal drugs and other contraband toward or across the borders of the United States.
The selected applicant will support the DHS Spectrum Efficient National Surveillance Radar (SENSR) Joint Program Office (JPO) Lead Agency Representative (LAR) by providing unique and critical skills to the DHS team.
The selected candidate will:
Demonstrate excellent oral and written skills to prepare written reports and provide briefings and recommendations to senior leaders regarding surveillance system performance and related issues
Prepare other documentation (general correspondence, memorandums, standard operating procedures, agendas, emails, ect.)
Represent DASA to other organizations, including functional counterparts such as DHS Science and Technology, other federal agencies, industry partners, and academia
Identify, elevate, manage, and resolve issues surrounding surveillance detection
Help investigate, evaluate, and analyses surveillance system performance, including associated interface equipment, data processors, and communications components
Monitor Domain Awareness (DA) system performance and analyze trends using established qualitative and quantitative measures
Assist in developing mitigation strategies for radio frequency interference
Conduct Schedule Risk Analysis (SRA), Critical Path Analysis, and other associated schedule analysis activities
Coordinate between multiple federal agencies and departments to obtain resolutions to system-related issues.
Support system acquisitions, optimizations and Command and Control (C2) integration efforts and activities
Research new and upcoming surveillance technologies through quantitative and qualitative analysis to provide recommendations on paths forward
Plan, execute, and analyze statistical studies
Design and develop measures of performance and effectiveness
Perform trade-off analysis and make recommendations for deviations to approved plans
A bachelor's degree and five or more (5+) years of experience is required.
Security Clearance: A CBP BI and an active DoD secret clearance is required to start. Applicant selected may be subject to a security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
