THE JOB:
It is the responsibility of the Surveillance Operations Manager to protect the assets of the company and the integrity of gaming, accomplished through monitoring of the Casino using Closed Circuit Television (CCTV), digital recording devices, and direct observation. The Surveillance Operations Manager ensures compliance with, and documenting violations of, company policies and procedures and appropriate laws and regulations.
THE DAY-TO-DAY:
Oversee, manage, and direct the operations of the Surveillance staff in all aspects of Surveillance operations, including the operation of CCTV/digital equipment when conducting surveillance, writing, and preparing daily reports and logs, and maintaining evidence by dubbing and saving video files
Review appropriate video and complete necessary documentation regarding specific slot and table game jackpots, guest complaints, potential procedure errors, risk management issues, player evaluations, theft incidents, and variances
Recommends policy and/or procedure changes as needed to correct and improve department practices
Conduct routine surveillance filming, video review, and documentation to detect suspicious activities and behavior throughout casino and gaming areas. Collaborates with other Operations Managers to maintain cross‐company awareness and develop best practices
Monitor all casino areas and personnel including but not limited to Table Games, Casino Cage, Count Rooms, Soft Count, Race & Sportsbook, Slots, and Poker
Prevent loss by identifying procedure errors and suspicious behavior shown by employees and patrons in the casino
Collaborates with department leadership to improve procedures and prevent future loss.
Maintain strict confidentiality for the company when conducting observations and investigations.
Testify in court as representative for the company as necessary
Assist in all personnel‐related issues for the property's Surveillance team, to include hiring, training, verify payroll and scheduling, and time off, and issue discipline
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
2+ years of casino Surveillance experience
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
Detailed knowledge of Table Games, Slots, R&S, and Cage standard operation procedures
Complete working knowledge of all applicable Gaming regulations
Comprehensive knowledge of Minimum Internal Control Standards
Detailed knowledge of advantage play systems and cheating methods
Able to lead and mentor a team
Interpersonal skills to deal effectively with all business contacts
Professional appearance and demeanor
Work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays
Able to effectively communicate in English, in both written and oral forms
