Surgical Technology Faculty, Full-Time

The Department of Allied Health invites applications for a full-time, tenure-track faculty in Surgical Technology for the 2025-2026 academic year.

This full-time, tenure-track faculty position in Surgical Technology presents an exciting opportunity to contribute to the development and leadership of a new Surgical Tech program at the College. The selected faculty member will serve as the curriculum coordinator in the first two years of their appointment, have access to previously established partnerships with local health systems in Philadelphia, while also teaching courses in the Allied Health Department.

Candidates with experience in teaching surgical tech courses, college-level courses, and clinical skills are sought after, with opportunities for further faculty recruitment as the program grows. The program will be part of CCP's Allied Health Department, offering various degree and certificate programs to prepare students for both employment and further education.

The Allied Health Department offers a series of degree and certificate programs intended to prepare students to either transfer or to secure employment. Associate of Arts degrees in Public Health, Health Care Studies and Health Services Management are focused on transfer to 4-year bachelor's degree institutions.

Associate of Applied Science degrees in Dental Hygiene, Diagnostic Medical Imaging, Medical Laboratory Technician and Respiratory Care Technology focus on developing skills needed for employment in these exciting fields, as well as to prepare students for transfer to bachelor's degree programs. We also offer three certificate programs in Medical Assistant, Medical Insurance Billing, and Patient Service Representative, that can be completed in one calendar year or less, and are also intended to prepare students for employment.
