Mount Aloysius College is seeking candidates for a temporary part-time, 9-month, faculty position as Clinical Instructor for the Surgical Technologist program beginning in August 2024.

The temporary, part-time Clinical Instructor is responsible for the supervision and evaluation of students in the lab and/or clinical settings. Will complete departmental duties and administrative tasks as assigned.

Typical schedule is Monday through Friday 8am-1:30pm for the first 8 weeks of the fall semester at the campus. For the second half of the fall semester hours will be completed at the clinical site from 6:30am-12pm Monday through Friday. The second semester is completed at the clinical site, three days a week from 6:30am-12pm and two days a week from 6:30am- 2:30pm. Additional hours are performed at home for grading.

Minimum Qualifications

CST Certification and one year of current operating room experience required; associate degree or higher and clinical teaching experience preferred. Excellent verbal, written, interpersonal and organizational skills are required. Proficiency in Microsoft Word is necessary, as well as demonstrated ability to multitask and maintain confidentiality.

This part-time position is not eligible for remote work. This role is not budgeted for visa sponsorship at this time; all candidates must be authorized to work in the US at the time of submission of their application.

This position is a temporary appointment, for the FA2024-SP2025 academic year only.
