Surgical Technology Adjunct

Job Responsibilities

The Tri-County Technical College Health Sciences Division is seeking collaborative, energetic, and innovative Surgical Technology Adjunct Instructors. Reporting to Department Head of Health Professions, the successful candidates will teach using systematically planned and delivered instruction for the program; maintain records of student academic progress and attendance, evaluate level of achievement, and assign grades for the program.

Teaching Assignments may include both day and evening classes, and at various Tri-County Technical College community campuses within Anderson, Oconee, and Pickens counties. The Fall 2024 Semester begins on August 12.

This role is a part-time, non-benefited role.

Minimum and Additional Requirements

Adjunct Faculty must be qualified by education and experience, and must be effective in teaching the subjects assigned. Adjunct Faculty must possess a credential in the field of surgical technology through a national certification program that is accredited by the National Commission on Certifying Agencies and have a minimum total of three years experience, either in the operating room scrub role or as an instructor in surgical technology, or a combination of both, within the last five years.

Preferred Qualifications

Preference will be given to candidates with experience as an instructor in surgical technology.
