Job Posting Summary
We are looking for a Surgical Technologist for our Labor and Delivery team at Baptist Medical Center Beaches. This Surgical Technologist position is a PRN nights position.
As a Labor and Delivery Surgical Technologist, your responsibilities include:
Assembling, organizing and maintaining a sterile field for operative procedures
Anticipates the needs of the surgeon and progression of the case and prepare accordingly.
Proper disposition of specimens and instruments.
Works with entire surgical team to minimize anesthesia time and promote patient safety.
Performs in first assist role in a variety of surgical procedures.
Functions as a support to related departments within Surgical Services as needed.
Qualifications:
Graduation from an Accredited Surgical Technologist CAAHEP or ABHES Program
OR - Previous experience working in an Operating Room (OR) setting
Certification as a Surgical Technologist (CST) from an accredited program preferred NBSTA or NCCT, but not required
