Surgical Technologist - Cvor

We are currently seeking a skilled Surgical Technologist to join our team in the Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR). The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing technical support to the surgical team during surgical procedures, ensuring that the operating room is safe, clean, and well-stocked with supplies and equipment.

Responsibilities:

- Prepare the operating room for surgical procedures by setting up surgical instruments and equipment

- Anticipate the needs of the surgical team during procedures and provide assistance as needed

- Maintain a sterile environment in the operating room by following established procedures and protocols

- Monitor the patient's condition during surgery and report any changes to the surgical team

- Assist with the positioning of the patient on the operating table

- Prepare and maintain surgical equipment and instruments for use during procedures

- Assist with the transfer of the patient to the recovery room or intensive care unit following surgery

- Participate in the training and orientation of new staff members

- Adhere to hospital policies and procedures, including infection control and safety protocols

Qualifications:

- Certification as a Surgical Technologist required

- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Surgical Technologist in a cardiovascular operating room setting preferred

- Knowledge of surgical instruments and equipment

- Ability to work effectively as a team member

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

- Ability to remain calm and focused in a fast-paced, high-stress environment

- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Surgical Technologist in a cardiovascular operating room setting preferred
