Currently seeking an Surgical Tech (Surg Tech) for a contract position in Honolulu, HI. This is a 13-week contract assignment. The ideal candidate will possess a certification and have at least 2 years of recent Surgical Tech.

Requirements of the Surgical Tech:

  1. Current Resume
  2. A certification from an accredited program
  3. Minimum 2 years of recent experience as a Surgical Tech
  4. A Copy of any Specialty Certifications
  5. Two current clinical references
  6. Must be able to pass background/urine drug screening
  7. Knowledge of state and federal regulations

Job Description of Surgical Tech:

Reporting to the Practice Coordinator, the Surgical Technologist is responsible for assisting with various types of surgery through the performance that is in compliance with established policies and procedures of the hospital and within the educational preparation of the individual. Incumbents in a technical role are expected to assess and analyze given situations and make decisions within the limits of practice.

Specialty services for patients throughout Hawai'i and the Pacific Region include intensive care for infants and children, 24-hour emergency pediatric and adult care, critical care air transport and high-risk perinatal care. As the Surgical Technologist, you will join our award-winning Surgery team and help to provide life-changing health care interventions to our patients. You will perform surgical scrub duties and maintain sterile techniques for all surgical procedures, as well as prepare the operating room, equipment and instruments for surgery while maintaining aseptic techniques.
