Currently seeking an Surgical Tech (Surg Tech) for a contract position in San Francisco, CA. This is a per diem contract assignment with 7:00AM - 3:30PM shift hours. The ideal candidate will possess a certification and have at least 2 years of recent Surgical Tech.

Requirements of the Surgical Tech:

  1. Current Resume
  2. A certification from an accredited program
  3. Minimum 2 years of recent experience as a Surgical Tech
  4. A Copy of any Specialty Certifications
  5. Two current clinical references
  6. Must be able to pass background/urine drug screening
  7. Knowledge of state and federal regulations

Job Description of Surgical Tech:

Reporting to the Practice Coordinator, the Surgical Technologist is responsible for assisting with various types of surgery through the performance that is in compliance with established policies and procedures of the hospital and within the educational preparation of the individual. Incumbents in a technical role are expected to assess and analyze given situations and make decisions within the limits of practice.

Department Description The Moffitt Long Operating Room (OR) consists of 27 surgical suites. The Moffitt Long OR performs complex surgery. Specialties include but are not limited to: General Surgery, Urology, Ophthalmology, Otorhinolaryngology, Maxillofacial, Neurosurgery, Cardio, Vascular, Thoracic, Transplant, Orthopedic, Plastics, and OHNS. Job Summary The Surgical Technologist assists in the preparation, processing, and maintenance of supplies and equipment, and functions as a member of the surgical team during operative procedures.
