  • Full Time, Days. 36 - 40 hours a week.# $10,000 Sign on Bonus!!# +$2.50 for weekend shifts. Boulder Community health is seeking a Certified Surgical Technician, where you will serve as a dedicated patient caregiver. In this role, the CST assists the registered nurse in the intra-operative care of the surgical patient by the performance of routine and delegated duties according to the policies and procedures of Boulder Community Hospital. #Graduate of a School of Surgical Technology or an equivalent of education and /or experience may be considered. OR

#Graduate of a School of Nursing with one-year experience as a surgical technologist in an acute care setting OR

#Former training in a military setting

#Colorado Registration is required

#Certification preferred

#BLS certification required

#One to two years experience in an acute care setting preferred Responsibilities

#Proficiently scrub all complex procedures#

#ensures instruments and equipment are available to their specialty service for use.#

#Anticipates the needs of the surgeon by preparing and passing of instruments, sutures, sponges, and supplies needed during the operative procedure.

#Assists the RN in the delivery of care to the intra-operative procedure.

#Demonstrates proper handling of specimens.

#Consults with and/or advises appropriate personnel of instrument or equipment needs requiring follow-up or attention.

#Utilizes physician preference cards and inventory lists to accurately organize equipment and supplies for operative surgical procedures.
