Surgical Technician

As a member of the surgical team, under the direct supervision of the Registered Nurse Circulator, maintains the operating room sterile field; passes instruments, sutures, and sponges during surgery. Insures that proper aseptic technique is utilized to prevent contamination and infection. Assists the registered nurse with circulating duties.

Required Qualifications:

• Graduate of an accredited school of Surgical Technology or Armed Services Surgical Technology program.
• upon hire: National Certified Surgical Technologist

• National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting. Or

• upon hire: National Tech in Surgery

• Certified

• National Center for Competency Testing.

• upon hire: National Provider BLS - American Heart Association.
