Surgical Techs with at least one (1) year of experience in Surgical Technology may be eligible for $4,000 sign on bonus with 2-year commitment. Must be relocating more than 100 miles to be eligible for $10,000 relocation assistance.

POSITION SUMMARY

The OR Technician performs nursing care of surgical patients and families under the direction of a Registered Nurse. The OR Technician is accountable for patient outcomes resulting from compiling supplies, preparing the sterile field, and scrubbing and/or assisting on surgical procedures.

The employee demonstrates competency in providing and evaluating age-appropriate care based on the physiological, psychosocial, intellectual, and safety developmental needs of the patient. Assists with the efficient operation of the unit through multidisciplinary collaboration and facilitation of the patient care plan. Supports and actively participates in maintaining a safe environment.

Participates as a team member by performing additional assignments not directly related to the job description when workload requires and as directed. Requires initiative, communication skills, and persistence to details. Works with minimal supervision.

JOB REQUIREMENTS
1.High school graduate or equivalent required.
2.Graduate from a Surgical Technologist program preferred or extensive experience through on-the-job training; certification preferred.
3.BLS-HCP certified or achieves it within 30 days of employment.

Responsible as a member of the program team, observes and reports physical and behavioral symptoms under the supervision of the Program Coordinator as well as receiving direction from Teachers in the school setting. The Mental Health Technician (MHT) is an active participant in the implementation of physical care, therapeutic activities, and the academic program. Assist in planning and implementing treatment programs for residents, implements functional behavioral assessment/behavior intervention plans as well as individualized academic or behavioral goals, accommodations, and services as defined by Individualized Instructional Plans (IIPs), Individual Education Plans (IEPs), and 504 Plans.
