The Surgical Services Support team is responsible for terminal cleaning of the OR rooms daily. Help with between cases disinfection and readiness of the rooms for the next OR case, timely. transports patients, specimens and equipment throughout the facility.

To perform this job, an individual must perform each essential function satisfactorily with or without reasonable accommodation.

1.Daily terminal cleaning of OR suites according to policy and guidelines.

2.Help with between cases disinfection and readiness of the rooms for the next OR case, timely.

3.Assist patients or lift patients into wheelchairs and/or stretchers.

4.Transport patients to various locations within the hospital for medical procedures.

5.Offer support, encouragement and solace to patients.

6.Ensure patient is comfortable and safe during transit.

7.Monitoring transport requests and completing them promptly.

8.Delivers laboratory specimens, medical equipment and supplies as requested.

9.Complies with health, safety and sanitation regulations.



  1. Maintains patient safety by elevating side rails and placing call lights within reach.

  2. Enforces the traffic control/visitation policies. Notifies nurse of any problems.

  3. Other duties as assigned.
