Surgical Services Nurse Educator

Department: Surgical Services

Work Hours: 8 hour days, Monday through Friday

Raises the standards of nursing clinical practice to achieve quality patient outcomes by providing for the educational development of the nursing staff. Participates in the development of policies, procedures, standards of care, protocols and guidelines particularly in the areas of their specialty assignment.

Requirements

Minimum 3-5 years working in the operating room Required.

Graduate of an accredited professional school of nursing. Current Pennsylvania license.

Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing. BCLS. Minimum 5 years clinical experience in an acute care setting.

Successful completion of applicable clearances as outlined in Human Resources policy HR-106 within 90 days of commencing employment.

Preferred

Master Degree in Nursing or other related healthcare field. Knowledge of The Joint Commission standards, Department of Health regulations and other regulatory agency requirement.

Proficient writing skills. Computer proficiency.
