Utilizing medical assessment, knowledge and skill, the physician assistant practices medicine under the supervision of a physician. Physician assistants work in collaboration with physicians and other health care professionals and may care for patients ranging in age from teenagers to elderly as noted on age-related category and area of expertise. The Physician Assistant provides highly skilled and specialized care throughout the perioperative continuum.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS : EDUCATION, CERTIFICATION, AND/OR LICENSURE: 1. Bachelor's degree in a health/science-related field. 2. National certification or eligible for certification and must become certified within one year of hire. 3.

Current licensure as a physician assistant in appropriate state. 4. Current certification in CPR. CORE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Serves as a catalyst for improving standards of practice; assists in the development and implementation of standards, methods, and tools to improve patient care. 6. Responsible for professional development to ensure current knowledge in area of specialization. 7.
