Surgical Nursing Assistant

Surgical Services I Lexington

Full-Time, First Shift

At the direction of management and/or nursing personnel, assists the hospital staff/department in the provision of high quality, safe patient care. Will provide assistance in Surgical Procedures and certain basic circulating functions under the direction of the Registered Nurse in the Operating Room.

Description:

• Provides basic physical care of the patient.

• Demonstrates safe patient transport with stretcher, wheelchairs, and patient beds.

• Performs tasks and procedures as directed according to hospital policy and procedure.

• Demonstrates knowledge of and utilizes principles of aseptic technique.

• Ensures positive customer relations interactions.

• Actively participates in unit activities.

• Call required-weeknights, weekends, and holiday by rotation.

Requirements:

• High School Diploma and/or Equivalent.
• BCLS by the end of orientation period.
