Dr Chin and Assoc. in Hoffman Estates is seeking a talented Surgical Assistant (with experience.)

We are looking for an EXPERIENCED, energetic, detail oriented, Surgical Assistant to join the team in our busy oral maxillofacial surgical practice. Travel between the Chicago (Water Tower Place) and Hoffman Estates (Saint Alexius Medical Center) offices is required. Candidate must be dependable, have a positive attitude, professional appearance and a reassuring, calm demeanor. Our reviews on social media are a testament to the excellent care our team provides to our patients. We love what we do!

Requirements

At least one year of Oral Surgery Assistant experience.
High School diploma or equivalent

Benefits

No evenings or weekends. We are currently on a Tuesday-Thursday 36-40 hour work week. Friday's and Monday's off.

Prepare surgical operating suite with sterile drapes and sterile solutions as well as appropriate sterile and non-sterile instruments and supplies. Hand required/requested instruments and supplies to surgeon during surgery. Assist with preparing, transporting, positioning and draping patients. Maintain instruments in an organized manner and monitor/track instrument count throughout procedures. Requirements Licensure / Certification / Registration: BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted. One or more of the following required: Surgical Tech credentialed from the National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date. Surgical Tech credentialed from the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date. Education: High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
