Surgery Scheduling Specialist
Texas Health Physicians Group seeks to hire a Surgery Scheduling Specialist to work Full Time at their clinic, Orthopedic Specialty Associates, P.A., Fort Worth, TX.
The address is Ben Hogan Center, 800 5th Avenue, Suite 500, Fort Worth, TX 76104.
Salary range is Min. $14.37/hour to Max. $21.74/hour based on relevant experience.
Full Time; 40 hours/week.
Monday Friday, 8:00am 5:00pm.
Under general supervision, schedules all inpatient and outpatient surgery and medical procedures, tests and studies ordered by the physician.
Coordinates, registers and schedules appointments for patients according to availability.
Conducts patient pre-certification to ensure coverage for appointments and medical care.
Ensures all required tests needed prior to surgery are done.
Coordinates and ensures necessary equipment is ordered, room availability/scheduled, pre-surgery medication, etc., is arranged prior to scheduled procedure.
Schedules any necessary follow-up appointments.
Communicates and answers patients' questions regarding surgery preparation instructions, arrival/ departure instructions relative to procedure.
Performs other duties as assigned.

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:
High School Diploma or Equivalent is required.
2 years related experience in healthcare environment is preferred.
Scheduling experience in a Hospital setting or Physician's/Medical office, especially in an Orthopedic Surgical Practice, highly preferred.
Requires strong customer skills.
Good communication skills.
Possess a strong work ethic and a high level of professionalism.
A team player who handles multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
