Scheduler Summary

Primary function of the position is scheduling of operative procedures and provides diverse clerical duties. Maintains daily logs, runs requested data reports, and distributes statistical data for the department. Responsible for excellent interpersonal skills and practicing the Core Values of the Mercy Health Care System.

Requirements

High School diploma or GED

Medical Terminology strongly preferred

Previous experience in healthcare setting and scheduling preferred

Schedule

This is a PRN (as needed) position, assisting to cover call-ins, vacations, high volume days, and gaps in schedule. This is day-shift, ideal for someone looking for supplemental income with a minimal required commitment.

Required Minimum Education: High School Diploma or GED Specialty/Major: Preferred Education: Vocational/ Technical Degree Specialty/Major: Licensing/ Certification - If registration, certification or licensure is required, include the name of the accrediting or licensing body. Licensure/Certification Required: BLS required at hire or within 6 months of hire. Ohio: Current STNA certification at time of hire or two years recent experience in acute or long term care facility or nursing student with 1 semester of clinical rotation completed. Kentucky: SRNA certification at time of hire. Licensure/Certification Preferred: Minimum Qualifications Minimum Years and Type of Experience: Preference for recent experience in acute care, long term care facility Other Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required: Other Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Preferred: ☒ Combination of post-secondary education and experience in lieu of a degree.
