SURGE SUPPORT Material Specialist III

The Marine Corps Prepositioning (MCPP) Program is based in Jacksonville, Florida. We provide maintenance and logistics services to the U.S.

Marine Corps (USMC) and U.S. Navy. We are seeking a Material Specialist III for our Shipboard Operations. Shipboard employees perform work on board a fleet of pre-positioned United States merchant ships.

Position Responsibilities Performs functions relating to the technical research, requisitioning, stockage computation and replenishment, custodial record keeping, and issue, disposal, redistribution and tracking of equipment, supplies, and publications. This includes troubleshooting and problem solving related to the above functions. Also includes the use of automated systems (both hardware and software) related to accomplishment of the above tasks.

Provides training and guidance to lower level employees. Must be deployable within 72 hours. Travel required up to 70% of the time.

Performs other tasks as assigned. GCSS experience required.
