Aon Is Looking For A Surety Broker Trainee
As part of an industry-leading surety team, you will help empower results for our clients by delivering innovative and effective solutions as part of our Surety team group within Construction Services Group in Chicago, IL. As an Surety Broker Trainee, you will report directly to the Regional Director of Commercial Surety.
Your Impact As A Surety Broker Trainee
Accountable for routine support activities to brokers and senior brokers with defined deadlines, related to renewal strategy documents, proposals, submissions along with data analysis for the placement of insurance solutions.
May facilitate and/or participate in client/broker strategy meetings.
May send requests for quotations to the surety carriers with opportunities to negotiation programs.
Manages daily work within established guidelines and receives general instructions on newly introduced assignments.
Assists with the processing of policy and related documents
Provides support to the account management process, when appropriate
Successfully complete formal training program and work with a mentor to develop Bond underwriting expertise
Achieve standards established for success in the program by completing daily assignments, including reading of text materials, completion of on-line courses and assignments, case study work, exams, and general activities
Quickly learn and assimilate new processes, product knowledge, and sales skills
Learn to use Aon Business Process Guidelines to assure profitability:
Study in preparation for obtaining the Associate in Fidelity and Surety Bonding (AFSB) designation
Successfully obtain Broker's License.

Demonstrates leadership qualities
Bachelor's Degree; Business, Economics, Finance, Accounting, Sales, Marketing majors preferred
Achieved a 3.0 GPA or higher
