Job Summary:

The candidate will be involved with all aspects of surety bond administration, which include receiving surety bond requests from clients, coordinating the approval of these requests, creating surety bonds, and billing the premium for these bonds.

In this role you will be responsible for the day-to-day servicing of Surety clients. This position works directly with the Client, Producers, and Surety Company representatives in handling the execution, underwriting and billing of bonds. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and update paper and electronic client financial and bond files

  • Receive, manage and dispatch correspondence promptly

  • Act as liaison with surety companies and maintain surety relationships

  • Ability to understand and interpret information presented in a bond request

  • Assist with resolution of client/carrier accounting issues

  • Ability to quickly and accurately enter data from a bond request into the bond issuing system and bond forms

  • Data input into Erlon and EPIC

  • Tracking and requesting updated underwriting info from our clients

  • Process bond renewals, new business, riders and more

  • Prepare written correspondence, reports and analysis as needed for management

  • Review construction contracts and assess project risk

Education and/or Experience:

  • Experience working with Surety, including in an insurance brokerage environment preferred

  • Prior office-based customer service (other than food or retail)

  • Prior bookkeeping and/or accounting experience (desirable)

  • Prior customer service in banking or insurance is highly desirable

  • Prior paralegal experience is highly desirable

  • High school graduate required; college experience preferred

  • Prior experience in a professional office setting (minimum of 3 years)

Technology Skills:

  • Applied Epic or similar agency management software experience, preferred but not required

  • Erlon or similar surety bonding software experience, preferred but not required

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)

Pay Details:

Annual Salary: $60,000 - $85,000
